Chris Cutler solo & duet with Giorgos Varoutas live at Underflow
At the start of the seventies, Chris Cutler co-founded The Ottawa Music Company - a 22-piece Rock composer's orchestra - before joining British experimental group Henry Cow, with whom he toured, recorded and worked in dance and theatre projects for the next 8 years. Subsequently he co co-founded a series of mixed national groups: Art Bears, News from Babel, Cassiber, The (ec) Nudes, p53 and The Science Group - and was a permanent member of American bands Pere Ubu, Hail and The Wooden Birds. Outside a succession of special projects for stage, theatre, film and radio he still works in successive projects with Fred Frith, Jon Rose, The Hyperion Ensemble, Annie Gosfield, Tim Hodgkinson, David Thomas, Peter Blegvad, Daan Vandewalle, Stevan Tickmayer, Lotte Anker and Romanian spectralist Iancu Dumitrescu. He is a permanent member of The Bad Boys (Cage, Stockhausen, Fluxus &c.) The Lindsay Cooper Songbook, Himmel (minimalism for massed fuzz organs), The Watts, The Peter Blegvad Quintet and What River - and works with all the usual suspects in all the usual improvising contexts. He has toured the world as a soloist with his extended electrified kit.
Other lasting collaborations have included Aqsak Maboul (Belgium), Les Quatre Guitaristes (Canada), The Kalahari Surfers (Africa), Perfect Trouble (Germany), Between (Sweden), N.O.R.M.A., (Italy), Telectu (Portugal), What River (Denmark), The Film Music Orchestra, Oh Moscow, Gong, The Work, Brainville, Himmel, The Watts, The Lindsay Cooper Songbook, and Towering Inferno (UK), The Residents (USA) Tense Serenity and Mirror Man.

Ο Γιώργος Βαρουτάς εστιάζει κυρίως στην ανάπτυξη εναλλακτικών προσεγγίσεων στην κιθάρα, καθώς και στη χρήση ηλεκτρονικών μέσων και τεχνικών για την επαναπόδοση ακουστικών οργάνων.
Είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος των ελληνικών μουσικών σχημάτων Vault of Blossomed Ropes και Liminal Vanguard, καθώς και μέλος της διεθνούς μουσικής κολλεκτίβας Lüüp. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε διεθνή project που περιλαμβάνουν υβριδικά πειράματα που φέρνουν σε επαφή τη σύγχρονη ηλεκτρονική μουσική με μουσικές διαφόρων παραδόσεων.
Συνεργάζεται με τους μουσικούς Steve Jansen, Ko Ishikawa, Chris Culter, Άννα Λινάρδου, Νίκο Σιδηρoκαστρίτη, Βάσω Δημητρίου, Χάρη Λαμπράκη, Νίκο Φωκά, Στέλιο Ρωμαλιάδη κ.α.
Το 2018 κυκλοφόρησε το ντεμπούτο του σόλο άλμπουμ '' Chronostasis '', από την βρετανική ReR Megacorp του Chris Cutler.

Στο πρώτο μέρος της συναυλίας ο Chris Cutler θα παρουσιάσει ένα solo αυτοσχεδιαστικό set με το electrified kit.
To electrified kit είναι ως προς ένα κανονικό κιτ ότι μια ηλεκτρική κιθάρα για μια κανονική κιθάρα.
Κάθε τύμπανο και κύμβαλο και τα διάφορα εξαρτήματα ενισχύονται είτε από μικροσκοπικά μικρόφωνα είτε από μετατροπείς.
Τα σήματα καταλήγουν σε ένα μίκτη 16 καναλιών και εξέρχονται μέσα από διάφορους επεξεργαστές - πετάλια κιθάρας και πολυεφέ ...
Φαίνεται τόσο παρόμοιο και ακούγεται τόσο διαφορετικό από ένα κανονικό κιτ που είναι πραγματικά ένα νέο όργανο.
Στο δεύτερο μέρος της συναυλίας, ο Chris Cutler και ο Γιώργος Βαρουτάς θα κάνουν μαζί ένα σετ ελεύθερου αυτοσχεδιασμού.
To 2018 εκδόθηκε από τη δισκογραφική εταιρεία ReR Megacorp του Chris Cutler, το ντεμπούτο σόλο άλμπουμ του Γιώργου Βαρουτά με τον τίτλο ''Chronostasis''.
