Re-inventing MAGAM live at Underflow

Μία νέα περίοδος για το πρότζεκτ MAGAM εγκαινιάζεται με την πρώτη επί σκηνής συνεύρεση του moody alien με τον Călin Torsan. Οι δυο τους θα αποπειραθούν να επανεξετάσουν και να αναδομήσουν υλικό τόσο από την 1η κυκλοφορία του πρότζεκτ, "One", όσο και από την επερχόμενη 2η, "Another".A new era for the project MAGAM will be inaugurated with the 1st on stage meeting of moody alien with Călin Torsan. The two of them will attempt to re-examine and re-compose material from the project's 1st & forthcoming 2nd releases.

Bios/info:

Ο Călin Torsan είναι αυτοσχεδιαστής μουσικός & συγγραφέας που ζει στο Βουκουρέστι. Στη διάρκεια των τελευταίων 20+ ετών έχει εμφανιστεί με μία πληθώρα σχημάτων -είτε ως leader είτε ως συνεργάτης- σε όλο τον κόσμο, έχει ηχογραφήσει για αρκετές κυκλοφορίες και soundtracks, γράφοντας και εκδίδοντας παράλληλα λογοτεχνία.
Επί του παρόντος κατευθύνει τους Multumult & είναι μέλος των Soare Staniol (πρώην Avant'n'Gard), σχήματα που αμφότερα έχουν κυκλοφορίες στη Thirsty Leaves Music.

Călin Torsan is an improvising musician & writer living in Bucharest. Over the last 20+ years he has performed with numerous groups -as leader or collaborator- all over the world (UK, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Romania, Spain, Turkey…), recorded for a number of releases & soundtracks, as well as published literature.
He is currently leading the shape-shifting band Multumult & a member of Soare Staniol (ex Avant’n’Gard), both of which have released via Thirsty Leaves Music.

Ο moody alien άρχισε να φτιάχνει μουσική το 2001 χωρίς προηγουμένως να φροντίσει να διδαχθεί πώς θα έπρεπε αυτή να φτιάχνεται, ενώ στη διάρκεια αυτών των ετών επιμένει κιόλας να μη μαθαίνει πράγματα παρά μόνο μέσω της πειραματικής μεθόδου και της επακόλουθης ακρόασης των αποτελεσμάτων. Η προσέγγισή του θα μπορούσε να συνοψιστεί στο "αν ακούγεται καλό, τότε είναι καλό".
Ιδρυτής και επιμελητής του πειραματικού label Thirsty Leaves Music (από τα τέλη του 2014), έχει κυκλοφορήσει μουσική μόνος αλλά και με παρέα και σκοπεύει να συνεχίσει να το κάνει, τόσο ως moody alien όσο και ως MAGAM. (Υπάρχει βέβαια πάντοτε και η πιθανότητα να ολισθήσει και προς άλλες απόκρυφες τέχνες στο μεταξύ...)

moody alien started making music in 2001, without previously bothering to be instructed on how it’s supposed to be done and during this time he has actually insisted on not learning things any way other than experimenting and listening to the results. His approach could be summarized in “if it sounds good, then it is good”.
Founder and curator of the experimental label Thirsty Leaves Music (since late 2014), he has released music alone as well as with company and is planning to continue doing so, be it under his own moniker or that of MAGAM. (Plus, there's always a good chance he might drift into other occult arts in-between...)
