Zoe Efstathiou, pianist composer and improviser, has been characterised by the german newspaper DerFreitag as 'master of the prepared piano' and her performance at A l'Arme Festival in Berlin in 2017 with New Roots Trio was praised as an 'improvisational masterpiece.' She works with contemporary and extended piano techniques and composes new music for piano and electronics as well as sound art and installations and regularly performs as an improviser. Among others, she has performed at A l'Arme Festival Berlin, Nordic Music Days Festival, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Blow Out Oslo, Onassis Cultural Center Athens.
Egil Kalman (b. 1989) is an eclectic double bass and modular synthesizer player and composer in search of links between contemporary electroacoustic music and traditional music. He is internationally with the trio Miman (mimantrio.com), as well as with solo and ad-hoc performances with musicians such as: Axel Dörner, Tobias Delius, Michael Griener, Hans Hulbaeckmo, Guro Kvifte Nesheim and Kresten Osgood.
