Το Outward Bound τρίο σε συνεργασία με τον σαξοφωνίστα George Haslam και τον κοντραμπασίστα Steve Kershaw θα πραγματοποιήσουν μια περιοδεία στην Ελλάδα από 24 έως 27 Νοεμβρίου.
Με την γνωριμία μας με την Βρετανική εταιρία slam productions και τον ιδρυτή της George Haslam, ήδη από το 2011, γεννήθηκε η ιδέα για μια δισκογραφική συνεργασία και μια σειρά από live performances σε Ελλάδα και Αγγλία. Στο κουιντέτο συμμετέχουν οι: Steve Kershaw κοντραμπάσο, George Haslam πνευστά (βαρύτονο σαξόφωνο, tárogató), Aντώνης Τσικανδηλάκης πιάνο, Δημήτρης Νεονάκης κιθάρες, Γιάννης Ηλιάκης, τύμπανα.
Oι George Haslam και ο Steve Kershaw είναι από τους πιο δραστήριους διεθνώς free jazz μουσικούς με μεγάλη και σημαντική δισκογραφία. Eίναι ιδρυτής της δισκογραφικής εταιρίας Slam productions, σημαντικό label με έδρα την Οξφόρδη που αριθμεί εκατοντάδες κυκλοφορίες στις οποίες μπορεί κανείς να συναντήσει μουσικούς όπως οι: Μax Roach, Mal Waldron, Han Bennink, Evan Parker, Bernard Purdie, Vojtech Havel.
Με το trio Outward Bound δραστηριοποιούμαστε από το 2007 στο χώρο της σύγχρονης free jazz. Έχουμε συμμετάσχει μεταξύ άλλων στα International Jazz Meeting Kostas Kouvidis 2010, στο ευρωπαϊκό φεστιβάλ τζαζ της Αθήνας 2010, στο Zante Jazz Festival, καθώς και σε Jazz clubs και θέατρα της Ελλάδας.
